this was really amazing until the end because ffs this message does not need to be restricted to the topic of marriage, just make it socially unacceptable to be homophobic/transphobic/generally (cis)sexist and the marriage thing will fall into place as part of the bigger picture

personally i feel that the legalization of same-sex marriage will encourage a taboo to attach itself to homophobia/transphobia/cissexism and all the rest.

Annie Leibovitz was the last person to photograph John Lennon. Five hours after photographing him he was killed. Annie promised John that this photo would make the front cover of Rolling Stone. The next issue it did just that, but with no headline, because there was no need to explain what had happened and what everyone would be talking about. The photograph was meant to show just how much love there was between Lennon and Yoko.
