Be sure the clasps aren't flimsy; if you find your pants are too thin at the waist you can just pinch and fold a little section over. I inherited mine from my grandfather and started wearing them since belts often don't do their job well enough. It's a slight style change but suspenders are a marvelous invention that don't wear out as fast as belts.
those are a good substitute when they go with the outfit of the day, but i don’t think i could wear them every day. thanks for the tip though!
